Dj Tony Tone My interest in becoming a dj in clubs and on the radio started when i migrated from Barbados to Philadelphia and saw that there was a lack of bajan music and djs in the clubs and on the radio stations. In attempt to make a change in these areas I started my music collection and began practicing my dj skills, I then Started djing at small block and house parties around the neighbor hood until 1997 when I finally got the chance to co-host a Caribbean program every Saturday on Temple University Radio Station this opportunity then open the door for me to host and co-host other Caribbean Programs on other radio stations like. Millersville College Radio, Drexel University Radio and
Splash Radio, this then led to djing in some of Philadelphia top Caribbean Clubs such as Chemistry, Above the Nile, Ibis lounge and Festivals. After conquering the Radio and Club Scene I decide to take my music skill to another level, so along with help from my brother we built one of the strongest sound systems in Philadelphia know as (Workshop Sounds) and started hosting our own events and providing sound for other entertainers and the Barbados Social Club Band in the Philly Carnival which is held every father day weekend here in Philadelphia
